How it works
Tailwind stays the system that manages your accounts and your publishing queue. Your assistant just gets a seat at the table.

Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Cursor, or any MCP client

Your accounts, Boards, SmartSchedule, and queue
Pins go live at your best times
- 1
Connect once
In Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini, add Tailwind and sign in with your Tailwind account. Coding agents like Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex connect with one command. There is no API key to copy.
- 2
Ask in plain language
Say "Generate Pins from this URL", "Schedule that to my Recipes board at my next open slot", or "Which Pins got the most outbound clicks this month?" Your assistant picks the right Tailwind tools.
- 3
Tailwind publishes
Pins land in your Tailwind queue on your SmartSchedule times. Review, edit, or move them in the app, and Tailwind publishes them to Pinterest like always.
Things you can ask
Dozens of tools cover creating, scheduling, organizing, and measuring your Pins. Here’s what that sounds like in practice.
Create Pins from a link
Generate Pins from this URL with Tailwind, then show me the drafts.
✓ generate_pins_from_url✓ generate_pin_copyTailwind reads the page, designs Pins, and writes titles and descriptions. Ghostwriter can match your saved brand voice.
Schedule at your best times
Schedule that Pin to a relevant board at my next open time slot.
✓ list_boards✓ schedule_postUses your SmartSchedule slots, your Pin Spacing rules, and your existing Boards. Nothing is invented.
Review the queue
Show me the Pins queued in Tailwind for the next week.
✓ get_schedule✓ list_postsDrafts, queued, and published Pins, with links back to each one in the app.
See what's working
Which of my Pins earned the most outbound clicks in the last 30 days, and why?
✓ get_account_analytics✓ list_top_pinsAccount and per-Pin analytics are free to read, so ask as often as you like.
Tidy up Boards
Create a "Fall 2026" section on my Recipes board and move this week's Pins into it.
✓ create_board_section✓ update_postBoards and sections, created and organized without leaving the chat.
Upload from anywhere
Here's the Canva export. Make it a Pin for my Home Decor board, linking to the shop page.
✓ create_media_upload✓ create_postAttach a file in ChatGPT or Claude, or point at any image URL.

There’s no separate price for MCP or the API. Actions count against your Tailwind plan the same way they do in the app, and reading is always free.

Scheduling a Pin
1credit
Charged when a Pin enters the queue, exactly like scheduling in the app. Drafts are free, and moving a queued Pin doesn't charge again. Plans with a monthly post limit count it toward that limit instead.Generating Pins and copy
1–7credits
Same rates as SmartPin and Ghostwriter in the app, depending on the design.
You approve, Tailwind publishes
Every Pin lands in your Tailwind queue, where you can edit or unschedule it. Nothing goes to Pinterest that you can't see first.
Deletes are flagged as destructive
Each tool tells the assistant whether it only reads or can delete. Well-behaved clients ask before running the destructive ones.
Revoke in one click
Connected assistants and API keys are listed under Settings > Integrations, with per-key usage. Remove one and it stops working immediately.
